NEW YORK, NY — Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses in the fine jewelry marketplace, has opened the application period for its Impact Initiative, a grant program that provides funding to organizations within the U.S. jewelry sector.
Funds will be awarded based on programs, potential reach and need. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with a mission for jewelry industry advancement, companies offering jewelry-related programming, and trade associations focused on the U.S. jewelry sector. JA will award an initial $150,000 for 2026, with the funds structured as an endowment.
David J. Bonaparte, President and CEO of Jewelers of America, said: “Jewelers of America is committed to elevating the jewelry industry. We believe that by supporting programming of other associations, we can make even more impact. We look forward to seeing the applications for this year and remain grateful to our Board of Directors for supporting our vision to create the Impact Initiative.”
The 2025 inaugural Impact Initiative grants were awarded to six organizations: BIJC Education Fund for its Future Jewelers Academy; Diamonds Do Good; Jewelers Security Alliance for its JSA Security Certification Program; Jewelers Vigilance Committee for its Legal Essentials for Jewelry Designers Guide; Providence Jewelers Club for educational opportunities for bench jewelers and watchmakers; and Texas Jewelers Association for GIA sessions at its fall conference.
According to JA, the Impact Initiative is part of the association’s strategic plan, which focuses on serving the member community, advancing education and amplifying advocacy.
Applications close May 18, 2026.
