The sighting: Actor Jonathan Bailey – who you probably know from Bridgerton – added a very special bejeweled accessory to his sleek white suit for the London premiere of his new movie, Wicked. That’s right, folks…we have gemstone buttons!
The jewels: Bailey’s shirt is bejeweled with a suite of custom emerald buttons by LA-based jewelry brand Emily P. Wheeler.
Wheeler’s Instagram post about the look shows handful of vividly green, emerald-cut emerald buttons set in gold bezels. The emeralds are pretty sizable, too! Click to the second slide of the Instagram post for a closer look.
The trends: The major trends here are green gems, sleek bezel settings, and jewels on men.
What do we think?
I have two thoughts about this. First, it is unreservedly awesome. I love love love the emeralds in their sleek gold bezels, I adore the nod to the movie’s theme, and I enthusiastically support men bejeweling themselves in interesting ways. This is fantastic and I want more of it.
Second – and this is incredibly nitpicky – it bothers me that the emerald buttons are facing in different directions. I want to straighten them out so that they’re all neatly vertical, instead of pointing in different directions in a higgledy-piggledy manner.
Is anyone else bothered by this alignment issue, or is it just me?
Judgement: 12/10 for a killer look that I love even though I also want to rearrange it slightly.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration
After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years."
Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations.
The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
