The sighting: Actress Blake Lively attended a screening of Taylor Swift’s All Too Well at the TriBeCa Film Festival with her handsome husband, Ryan Reynolds. Lively donned a light and lovely white sundress for the occasion and finished it with some sweet, summery jewels.

The jewels: For this low-key evening, Lively accessorized her white frock with layered necklaces, a chunky gold chain and a pretty pendant on a long gold chain.

The pendant is by Storrow Jewelry, a charming little design featuring a pair of rhodochrosite cherries with a diamond accent on a 14K yellow gold stem with emerald leaves. The style is listed on Storrow’s website for $3,995.

The actress also appears to be wearing at least one ring, although its details are not visible in the photos.

The trends: Everything here is trendy! The chunky gold, the sweet cherry pendant, the carved hardstone, the vibrant pink hue. This is perfect summer ‘22 jewelry.
Hubby Ryan Reynolds is also wearing a stack of beaded bracelets, another big summer trend.

What do we think? I love it when celebrities put on jewelry for casual events like this – it gives a much better sense of what they wear in their own lives, rather than on big red carpets. Blake Lively is a well-established jewelry lover who has worn Storrow charms before as part of a charm necklace and also has a documented love for Retrouvai, Marla Aaron, and Brent Neale; in addition to Lorraine Schwartz for big events.

Basically: I love this on her and I would love it on me too. A very pretty way to style a sundress, using the larger chain to add texture up top and the pendant on a long chain to add visual interest lower down. Great work, erstwhile Serena Van Der Woodson (she’ll always be Serena to me).

Judgement: 13/10! Perfectly lovely sundress styling. It isn’t revolutionary, but you don’t always need to go outside the box to find excellence.

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options. His lease was nearing renewal time and with no succession plan, he decided it was time to call Wilkerson. There was plenty of inventory to sell and at first, says Wesley, he thought he might try to manage a sale himself. But he’s glad he didn’t. “There’s no way I could have done this as well as Wilkerson,” he says. Wilkerson took responsibility for the entire event, with every detail — from advertising to accounting — done, dusted and managed by the Wilkerson team. “It’s the complete package,” he says of the Wilkerson method of helping jewelers to easily go on to the next phase of their lives. “There’s no way any retailer can duplicate what they’ve done.”
