The sighting: Actress Brittany Snow was one of the first celebs I spotted on this year’s Oscars red carpet. I may not know what she’s acted in lately, but she was absolutely one of my favorite jewelry looks of the night.

The jewels: Snow is wearing the Pomellato Catene High Jewelry necklace, a collar-style necklace of large yellow gold pavé chain links alternating with rich, juicy cabochon tanzanite. The jewel features 70 carats of tanzanite and 2,561 brown diamonds.

The actress is also wearing a yellow gold Pomellato Castello High Jewelry ring set with a 16.50-carat tanzanite and diamonds.

The trends: The decision to wear a colorful statement necklace with a colorful gown is a departure from leading red carpet trends in the best way, but the actual necklace here is very on-trend. Its large links, collar length, rich blue gems, and cabochon cuts all reflect style elements that are very of-the-moment.

What do we think? This is great! The large links and lush cabochons of the necklace give it an interesting texture that really stands out from the rest of the evening’s necklaces, which were mostly white diamonds.

I love how those lush blueberries of tanzanite pop against the yellow of the actress’s gown, and the fact that the ring features a different cut of tanzanite adds another dimension of contrast to the ensemble that I really enjoy.

I only have one quibble, and I bet you can guess what it is: I wish she were wearing earrings!! Imagine a tanzanite cabochon stud or maybe a cluster of tanzanite and colored diamonds to tie in the rest of the necklace? Either way, I hate to see empty earlobes on a red carpet.

Judgement: 14/10 for a very cool statement piece and excellent color combo.

Family Legacy, New Chapter: How Wilkerson Turns 89 Years of History Into Future Success

After 89 years of serving the Albany community, Harold Finkle Your Jeweler faced a pivotal decision. For third-generation owner Justin Finkle, the demanding hours of running a small business were taking precious time away from his young family. "After 23 years, I decided this was the time for me," Finkle explains. But closing a business with nearly nine decades of inventory and customer relationships isn't something easily managed alone. Wilkerson's comprehensive approach transformed this challenging transition into a remarkable success story. Their strategic planning handled everything from advertising and social media to inventory management and staffing — elements that would overwhelm most jewelers attempting to navigate a closing sale independently. The results speak volumes. "Wilkerson gave us three different tiers of potential goals," Finkle notes. "We've reached that third tier, that highest goal already, and we still have two weeks left of the sale." The partnership didn't just meet financial objectives—it exceeded them ahead of schedule.
