The sighting: We haven’t seen this piece out in the wild yet, but British jewelry brand CeCe Jewellery posted this extraordinary custom piece on their Instagram and revealed that it was ordered by none other than Gwyneth Paltrow!! Let’s take a look at the Goop diva’s personal purchase.
The jewels: Gwyneth Paltrow’s custom necklace was inspired by CeCe Jewellery’s For the Love of Fruit Collection. All of the designs in this collection are made from 18K yellow gold, with elaborate fruit-themed enamel adornments and diamond accents.
According to the brand’s Instagram post, Paltrow’s CeCe Jewellery fruit necklace features the following:
“A perfectly ripe red apple, a tender ode to her daughter, Apple. The juiciest watermelon wedge nods to her Californian upbringing ~ full of sunshine and summer sweetness. A kiwi to represent vitality & health, a connection to the natural world and balanced lifestyle. A pair of cherries to symbolise femininity & love, and finally, figs for prosperity & peace. Mouthwateringly delicious and beautiful in equal measure!”
See below for more examples of CeCe Jewellery’s For the Love of Fruit Collection.

The trends: Fruit has been a leading jewelry trend this summer! Add to that the lovely enameled work and the sentimental inspiration behind each fruit in Paltrow’s piece, and this jewel is about as trendy as it could possibly be.
What do we think? I’ve been a CeCe Jewellery fan ever since I first spotted the brand’s beautifully distinctive enamelwork on Instagram and I think their fruit collection is a delectable evolution of the designer’s aesthetic. It’s also perfect that Paltrow ordered a custom piece – her daughter’s name is Apple, after all!
This feels to me like a perfection union of celebrity and jewel. I hope that Paltrow absolutely loves her CeCe Jewellery fruit necklace and that we get a photo of her wearing it out and about as soon as possible.

Judgement: 14/10 for a delicious use of imagery and lovely enamelwork!

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson
When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren.
For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish.
"Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful."
The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing."
Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
