The sighting: Actress Jenna Ortega co-starred in Sabrina Carpenter’s dramatic new music video for her song Taste. The video features Ortega and Carpenter repeatedly trying to murder each other until they make peace and attend the funeral of their mutual ex-boyfriend together in extremely chic black outfits, perfectly accessorized with minimalist jewelry.

The jewels: Jenna Ortega’s necklace is the Flats Choker by Ukrainian jewelry brand Guzema. The 18K yellow gold style is an open-ended choker with two flat gold elements set with diamonds (0.47 TCW) and is listed on the brand’s website for $3,020.

She’s also wearing several chunky gold band rings, but I don’t have an ID for them. Sabrina Carpenter wears a simple tennis necklace in the same scene, classic and elegant.

The trends: Chokers are still a pretty powerful trend, but I’d argue that the main trend here is the unique blend of creepiness and vintage glamour that Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega present so compellingly. It’s a very unusual and specific style note, and one that is likely to get an additional boost from the upcoming Beetlejuice movie.

What do we think? This music video is wild. It’s glamorous and macabre, sexy and bizarre. But the most iconic scene – by far – is the end, where Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega stand side by side in their funerial glam…and that’s the outfit where Ortega wears the Guzema choker. Shots of this outfit have been all over my social media feed since the video premiered a few days ago.

Whether or not the video is to everyone’s taste, the look at the end is getting a whole lot of attention.

Judgement: 16/10 for funerial glam at its finest.

Retiring? Let Wilkerson Do the Heavy Lifting

Retirement can be a great part of life. As Nanji Singadia puts it, “I want to retire and enjoy my life. I’m 78 now and I just want to take a break.” That said, Nanji decided that the best way to move ahead was to contact the experts at Wilkerson. He chose them because he knew that closing a store is a heavy lift. To maximize sales and move on to the next, best chapter of his life, he called Wilkerson—but not before asking his industry friends for their opinion. He found that Wilkerson was the company most recommended and says their professionalism, experience and the homework they did before the launch all helped to make his going out of business sale a success. “Wilkerson were working on the sale a month it took place,” he says. “They did a great job.”
