The sighting: Singer/Songwriter Jennifer Lopez recently attended the opening night of Good Night and Good Luck in New York City. She wore a sleek, plunging black gown and a dramatic coat for the occasion and finished the ensemble with gorgeous vintage and estate jewelry.

The jewels: Jennifer Lopez is wearing two signed different estate pieces from Briony Raymond.

The first is a pair of Boucheron onyx and diamond earrings in platinum, with an Art Deco inspired geometric design.

The second is a 1970’s Van Cleef & Arpels onyx and diamond necklace in gold, with a repeating motif of diamond-shaped onyx inlay framed by diamonds.

The trends: Opaque gemstones are very trendy at the moment, as is choosing vintage for big occasions!

What do we think? This is a fantastic look: bold and graphic and so satisfyingly geometric.

If you look closely, you’ll see that the Boucheron earrings are platinum and the Van Cleef & Arpels necklace is yellow gold, which is interesting. The earrings also have a softer geometry whereas the necklace is all sharp angles.

I wouldn’t necessarily have expected these two pieces to work together, but they’re a fantastic pairing. And who doesn’t love a bit of drama at a theater opening? Rock on, JLo.

Judgement: 14/10 for a really fun jewelry ensemble

Family Legacy, New Chapter: How Wilkerson Turns 89 Years of History Into Future Success

After 89 years of serving the Albany community, Harold Finkle Your Jeweler faced a pivotal decision. For third-generation owner Justin Finkle, the demanding hours of running a small business were taking precious time away from his young family. "After 23 years, I decided this was the time for me," Finkle explains. But closing a business with nearly nine decades of inventory and customer relationships isn't something easily managed alone. Wilkerson's comprehensive approach transformed this challenging transition into a remarkable success story. Their strategic planning handled everything from advertising and social media to inventory management and staffing — elements that would overwhelm most jewelers attempting to navigate a closing sale independently. The results speak volumes. "Wilkerson gave us three different tiers of potential goals," Finkle notes. "We've reached that third tier, that highest goal already, and we still have two weeks left of the sale." The partnership didn't just meet financial objectives—it exceeded them ahead of schedule.
