The sighting: Singer and actress Lady Gaga is making the red carpet rounds for various premieres of her new movie, Joker: Folie à Deux, and we absolutely must discuss her London and LA jewelry looks.

The jewels: First, we’re going to look at Lady Gaga’s look from the LA premiere. That’s in the embed above, and yes, it is STUNNING. That glorious necklace is the Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger ‘Vigne necklace’ with 330 carats of rubellites, 50 carats of emeralds, & 10 carats of diamonds (thanks to Instagrammer @WwwJewels for the ID!).

What I think is especially interesting is the fact that Lady Gaga paired this necklace with black gemstone earrings – going with a color scheme that echoes traditional harlequin colors rather than matching any of the gems in the necklace. It’s unusual, but still looks very cool.

The second look we must discuss is Lady Gaga’s outfit from the Joker’s London premiere. She wore a dramatic red Celine gown with a voluminous jacket and Tiffany & Co jewelry. According to Page Six, she wore a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany “Bird on a Rock” brooch with a 20+ carat spessartine garnet, a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany vine ring and two dazzling yellow diamond pieces from the 2024 Tiffany Blue Book Collection.

For the London premiere, Lady Gaga also donned a sparkling tear, affixed to her cheek. I was hoping it was an actual diamond (like in the iconic 1946 film, La Belle et la bête, but sadly it is crystal).

What do we think? I haven’t seen the new Joker movie and I don’t plan to, so I don’t know or care if it’s good. What I do know is that Lady Gaga is ROCKING these red carpet appearances. I love that she’s channeling her character and leaning into the graphic drama of the joker’s aesthetics for the colors of the Schlumberger necklace and the whimsy of the diamond teardrop.

Judgement: 19/10 for creative and compelling jewelry looks.
