The sighting: Fashion designer and stylist Rachel Zoe attended the recent Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in Los Angeles. She wore a sleek white gown for the occasion with long sleeves and a plunging neckline – which she accented with a fantastic necklace.

The jewels: Zoe is wore a spectacular long yellow gold necklace by David Webb. It was a gold chain with large, bold links that repeated a triangular motif, suspending a large triangular pendant. The pendant at the bottom seemed to be accented with diamonds, but I couldn’t tell if the smaller links had diamonds or not.

Zoe also wore several large cocktail rings, which could have been David Webb as well.

The trends: I think the 1980s and 90s have recently overtaken the 70s as the trendiest retro era for jewelry, but this look from Zoe was a powerful argument to not surrender the 70s inspo yet.

What do we think? The coolest part of this look for me was the way the necklace interacted with the neckline. 99.9% of people would have seen this dress and thought, “Oh, yeah, let’s get a statement necklace that will fall right in the middle of that cutout.”

Zoe’s decision to wear a long sautoir that fell just below the cutout — leaving the center of the bodice bare — made for a striking and visually compelling choice. It emphasized how long and lean the look was, and somehow made that huge swatch of skin feel casual rather than shocking.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration

After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years." Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations. The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
