The sighting: Actress and singer Ryan Destiny attended the 2026 Oscars in a custom AMI Paris ensemble that played with volume in lush black fabrics and provided a beautiful backdrop for a stunning set of jewelry.
The jewels: Ryan Destiny’s jewels of the evening were all by MARLI. The actress wore three different 18K white gold styles from the brand’s “A New York Affair” High Jewelry collection: the MARLI Chance Necklace with diamonds (16.05 TCW) and black onyx; the Chance Bracelet with diamonds (4.50 TCW) and black onyx; and the Chance Ring, with diamonds (0.55 TCW) and black onyx.
The trends: Modern Art Deco was a big trend in late 2025 and early 2026 – it has faded a bit, but these very glamorous designs prove it’s not gone. Other trends in evidence are black gems and large-scale statement styles.
What do we think? It has become unusual to see a celebrity wear more than two pieces of matching jewelry on a major red carpet, but this trio of designs from MARLI’s Chance line are a powerful argument for the power of matched sets.

The glamour and drama of this Art Deco-inspired line really appeal to me. I was expecting to see a Nikos Koulis credit when I first looked up who made these jewels, but rather than the Greek designer’s signature black enamel, the MARLI designs use pieces of carved black onyx for their dark accents. The precision involved in creating those perfectly fitting, precisely matching onyx elements is truly impressive.
I love the dramatic length of the necklace and the way it echoes the collar of the actress’s top before cascading down the length of her exposed clavicle. I also enjoy how the cuff bracelet and ring mimic the top’s peek-a-boo effect.
I’m a liiiiiiiittle torn here, because I love this set and I really do think it goes the look … but I also prefer to see all-black outfits accessorized with colored gems. And the outfit as a whole feels a little casual for the Oscars red carpet.
Help me decide: is this perfect as it is, or does it need colored gems?
Judgement: 11/10 for some jewelry I love in an ensemble that leaves me with questions.
