The sighting: Actress Scarlet Johannson was recently interviewed by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to promote her film Jurassic World Rebirth. I don’t know what questions Fallon asked or what answers Johannson gave, but I DO know her earrings were incredible.
The jewels: Johannson wore a pair of long earrings from Nikos Koulis’s WISH collection. The design is inspired by the ethereal fluff of a dandelion and features a complex, articulated aluminum structure set with diamonds and featuring two large, elongated pear-shaped diamonds near the ends.
The actress also wore a slender black bracelet and a ring that looks like it might also be a Nikos Koulis design.
Johannson’s stunning Taffin engagement ring was not in evidence, but she did have a couple of gold rings on the ring finger of her left hand.
The trends: This is the second celebrity post I’ve written today that features black metal jewels, so perhaps it’s a trend on the rise? We’ll have to wait and see.
What do we think? These earrings are SO COOL. I don’t have any thoughts about Johannson’s outfit in general besides the fact that everything else she’s wearing seems intended to let the earrings take center stage (which they richly deserve). I think it looks cool that the actress’s hair is down, although one must wonder if the strands ever got caught on the structure of those earrings.
I also enjoy how the earrings have a bit of a science fiction feel to them that seems appropriate for a Jurassic Park press appearance. Although I should admit I haven’t seen a Jurassic Park movie since the first one, and I have no idea which character Johannson even plays. So does the science vibe still feel relevant? You’ll have to tell me.
Judgment: 14/10 for a jewelry choice that is as interesting as it glamorous.
