The sighting: Serena Williams was on the field at the Super Bowl as a surprise guest star in rapper Kendrick Lamar’s much talked-about halftime show.

The jewels: We don’t know specific designers for most of Williams’s Super Bowl jewels, but we could see that she was wearing all white metal and diamond jewelry, including large hoop earrings and three necklaces that appeared to be a chain with a heart-shaped stone, a classic tennis necklace and a diamond lariat.

She also wore two pinky rings and, according to The Zoe Report, a diamond waist chain and a $175,000 watch from Audemars Piguet.

The trends: White metal with white diamonds, layered necklaces, and pinky rings are all on trend!

What do we think? This jewelry look was solidly great: It fit the casual chic vibe of Williams’s sporty custom Nike outfit while still being luxe enough to feel appropriate for looking incredible during a song dissing her ex performed on football’s biggest night.

My favorite part was the waist chain. You usually see body jewelry like this paired with skimpy swimwear or resort fashions, but wearing a diamond chain over a skirt like a decorative belt is a look that anyone could try.

I want one! Please let this trend take off.

Judgement: 14/10 for a super jewelry moment.

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
