The sighting: Actress Zoe Saldana attended the 2026 Oscars in a black lace-accented Saint Laurent gown by Anthony Vaccarello and some truly show-stopping Cartier jewels. Let’s take a look!

The jewels: Zoe Saldana’s Oscars jewelry was all by Cartier.

The showstopper here is the necklace. This sensational Art Deco-inspired design is the Euphonia Necklace from Cartier’s Art En Équilibre Chapter 3 High Jewelry Collection. It features a double row of emerald-cut diamonds leading into a cascade of diamonds and rubies in the front. In the back, the two elegant lines of diamonds continue down to the actress’s shoulder blades, where they meet in a simpler, diamond and ruby version of the front’s crossbar design.

According to Town & Country, the actress also wore a double-row Broderie de Cartier wedding band in 18-karat white gold and diamonds, a Cartier Destinée wedding band in 18-karat white gold and diamonds, and platinum and diamond Cartier stud earrings.

The trends: Red gemstones are majorly on the rise this year, and this necklace makes their appeal easy to understand. We’ve also seen a lot of vintage-inspired designs, including specifically Art Deco-inspired designs, like this necklace.

Statement necklaces were the biggest jewelry trend of the night, along with brooches – both trends we’ve seen show up strongly throughout this awards season, much to my delight.

What do we think? It’s glamorous, it’s interesting, and it adds some color and pizzazz to an otherwise all-black look! I also enjoy the contrast between the softness of the dress’s ethereal lace bodice and the crisp, precise geometry of the necklace’s Art Deco-inspired aesthetic.

I think this is a fantastic red carpet jewelry moment.

Judgement: 14/10 for sleek and spectacular Cartier.
