Her Ana Khouri mismatched earrings provided just enough sparkle to keep the ear party going.

KARLIE KLOSS HAS been turning up at all the big red carpet events, and at each event, she wore just the right amount of bling. She was rapturous in a red gown at the Met Gala with sparkling diamond earrings. She recently wore a celebrity red carpet trend that we have been seeing a lot — sheer fashion — to the WSJ Magazine 2021 Innovator Awards in New York City. But her cool black bra was upstaged by Ana Khouri’s artistic and sculptural approach to diamond earrings and rings. When the stars wear Khouri’s jewelry (many wore her pieces to the MET Gala), they seem to light up. Her mismatched cuffs and climbers were partially responsible for the earring revival, and Khouri was definitely a driving force and revolutionized the way women wore earrings for the past five or so years. The ear party, as it became known, started with pieces like Khouri’s and evolved into more price-conscious and smaller studs, climbers and cuffs that could be worn every day. But let’s get back to Kloss’s moment. She shone in Khouri’s briolette beauties worn close on the ear, which included a wider ear piece, a more narrow look in a similar style and a raised style hoop.

I would totally wear this combination. It reminded me of how all of the stars in Hollywood’s heyday would get their publicity shots done wearing earrings that were in keeping with the mood of what they were promoting without ever overshadowing them.

Kloss, a supermodel and a judge on “Project Runway,” knows how to strut her stuff and wear her jewelry without letting it wear her.

I give this look a huge thumbs up.

Would you wear this look?
