At the 2023 Critics Choice Awards, their bracelets were part of a trend focusing on the wrist.

THE 2023 CRITICS choice awards jewelry trends took over where the Golden Globes left off — focusing on the wrist. At the Globes, we saw double on Anya Taylor-Joy and Jamie Lee Curtis, who both wore a matching pair of bangles or cuffs, one on each wrist, from Tiffany and Cathy Waterman, respectively. Bracelets have been trending up again since last summer, and awards season is sure to do its part in fueling the fashion. That’s particularly true when A-listers like Kate Hudson and Cate Blanchett are wearing intricate wide bracelets. Each of these celebs only wore one at a time, but they were extremely detailed and beautifully constructed.

Hudson’s was from Bulgari High Jewelry and is featured in platinum with five pear-shaped diamonds, 54 Akoya pearls, 48 round diamonds, 285 step cut diamonds and pavé-set diamonds. And it was just as jaw-dropping as it sounds. It had a Belle Epoque feel in its delicacy and white metal, pearl and diamond mix. Blanchett’s bracelet was ultra-modern and featured multi gemstones in a shirt-cuff-like silhouette.

Some other celebrities at both events wore blingier diamond bracelets that were statement pieces. I am wondering if we will be seeing more at the upcoming Grammy Awards and Academy Awards. My gut feeling is, yes. And I am glad to see more celebrities arming themselves.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
