KATE MIDDLETON, PRINCESS of Wales, has been the royal to watch ever since she received Princess Diana’s engagement ring. The 12-carat ring ignited a trend toward sapphires, just as it did when Diana first wore it, as the gemstone for brides-to-be. However, over the past couple of years, the celebrity, jewelry and fashion press related that Princess Kate was wearing her Welsh yellow gold wedding band and two eternity bands without the main attraction and then speculated as to why. Various experts offered their theories.

But on Day 13 of Wimbledon, she appeared in the Ceylon sapphire engagement ring once again. She wore it with the all-around diamond band — reportedly a gift from Prince William after Prince George’s birth — and an eternity-style band set with sapphires and diamonds, believed to be Cartier’s Étincelle ring, which first appeared on her finger last year. Whether the stacked rings hold symbolic or sentimental meaning is anyone’s guess, but pairing three distinct bands with the iconic engagement ring offers plenty of inspiration for brides around the world.

Her influence might not stop there. She also wore a twisted yellow gold bracelet with diamond accents — and yes, cuffs like this are already a trend, but this could further their sales for holiday and beyond. Important timepieces are also a theme for both men and women, with Princess Kate sporting her classic Cartier Ballon Bleu watch on the other wrist.  Additionally she donned Cartier Trinity earrings on both Day 13 and 14. Whether she is in a regal tiara or more everyday jewelry, she continues to inspire women globally. As for the rings, we’ll be watching to see how she styles and combines them and whether she adds any more, and we’ll keep you posted.

Closing With Confidence: How Bailey's Fine Jewelry Achieved Outstanding Results With Wilkerson

When Trey Bailey, President and CEO of Bailey's Fine Jewelry, decided to close the Crabtree location in Raleigh, North Carolina after 15 years, he knew the decision needed to be handled with intention and professionalism. The goal was clear: exit the location while maintaining financial strength and honoring the store's legacy. Having worked with Wilkerson successfully in the past, Bailey understood the value of their comprehensive approach. "They understood both the emotional and financial sides of the store closing sale," Trey explains. "Their reputation for professionalism, results and care made it a very easy decision." The results exceeded expectations. Wilkerson helped Bailey's sell through significant inventory while maintaining the dignity of the closing process. "They don't just run a sale, they help close a chapter in the best way possible," Bailey says, strongly recommending Wilkerson to any jeweler facing a similar transition.
