Korman Jewel House Celebrates Grand Opening

(PRESS RELEASE) AUSTIN, TX — Korman, Austin’s premier independent jeweler since 1973, celebrated their new Jewel House with a two-day Grand Opening celebration on October 24 and 25. The festivities began with a ribbon cutting ceremony as owners Kat and Larry Stokes, alongside The Jewel House management team, welcomed the Austin community to experience a new chapter in fine jewelry.

The Jewel House reimagines what a fine jewelry destination can be. Elevated but approachable. Inspiring yet deeply personal. It’s a place where time slows, conversations matter, and every detail is considered. From the pieces you try on to the relationships built while you’re here.

“Our relationship with clients has always been side by side, not across a counter,” says Kat Stokes, owner of Korman. “We are an untraditional traditional jeweler, and we wanted The Jewel House to reflect that. It’s a place where you can relax and discover the finest gemstones and timepieces. Nothing about it feels transactional or expected. It certainly doesn’t feel like a duty-free store. It feels like home.”

That belief inspired every detail in The Jewel House, from its hand curated selection of pieces to its hospitality-focused design.

An Official Rolex Jeweler and Service Center, Korman offers a unique and memorable Rolex experience. The main level showcases new timepieces and the first of several intimate Rolex lounges. Upstairs, clients can explore a dedicated Rolex Certified Pre-Owned Collector’s Corner, while the lower level houses a state-of-the-art Rolex Service Center, where guests can view their timepieces being expertly serviced by master watchmakers.

Guests enjoyed signature cocktails speaking to the jeweler’s recent rebrand and relocation milestones including The Jewel House Mule, Korman Ranch Water, The 365 Margarita (an ode to their “Celebrate Every Day” mantra), and The New Era while sampling curated charcuterie from Honey Brie ATX. The event marked more than just the unveiling of a new space, it marked a transformation in how clients experience jewelry, hospitality, and connection.

During the Grand Opening, Korman also unveiled the latest edition of Korman Magazine. The magazine highlights Korman’s newest designer additions, Sylva & Cie, Loraida, Bayco, and MAOR, and explores topics including the brand’s bespoke custom engagement ring process, an inside look into The Jewel House, and the rebrand following more than 50 years of serving the Austin community.

The bridal salon offers couples a private, personalized experience with in-house master jewelers available for repairs, resizing, and custom design. As a proud partner of De Beers Origin, Korman offers boundless possibilities for those creating their dream engagement ring.

Korman remains the exclusive Austin destination for a hand-curated selection of fine jewelry designers including Single Stone, Viltier, FOPE, Artemer, Sylva & Cie, Bayco, Loraida, MAOR, Peruffo, Temple St. Clair, and Goshwara, and more with new arrivals daily. In addition to Rolex, Korman is an authorized dealer for Tudor, Omega, Blancpain, Grand Seiko, and more, alongside independent watchmakers Ressence and Trilobe, not found anywhere else in Texas.

Korman Jewel House is located at 2901 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX, offering private viewing rooms and reserved client parking. For more information, visit www.kormanjewelhouse.com and follow along on Instagram at @kormanjewelhouse.

Closing With Confidence: How Bailey's Fine Jewelry Achieved Outstanding Results With Wilkerson

When Trey Bailey, President and CEO of Bailey's Fine Jewelry, decided to close the Crabtree location in Raleigh, North Carolina after 15 years, he knew the decision needed to be handled with intention and professionalism. The goal was clear: exit the location while maintaining financial strength and honoring the store's legacy. Having worked with Wilkerson successfully in the past, Bailey understood the value of their comprehensive approach. "They understood both the emotional and financial sides of the store closing sale," Trey explains. "Their reputation for professionalism, results and care made it a very easy decision." The results exceeded expectations. Wilkerson helped Bailey's sell through significant inventory while maintaining the dignity of the closing process. "They don't just run a sale, they help close a chapter in the best way possible," Bailey says, strongly recommending Wilkerson to any jeweler facing a similar transition.
