(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — The Plumb Club has, once again, expanded its preeminent membership in 2022 with the announcement of Lali Jewels as its newest member. The prestigious association’s members must meet stringent requirements of business ethics, practices and conduct, as well as human rights, social and environmental responsibility, and be in compliance with local, federal and international laws. As of 2019, all Plumb Club Members are also required to become certified members of the RJC (Responsible Jewelry Council).

“The Plumb Club is the industry’s leading supplier organization and the “gold-standard” at the JCK Show”, said Arun Bassalali, co-founder and CEO of Lali Jewels. “For my brother Adam and I to build Lali Jewels to the point where we were accepted into this prestigious community is a crowning moment for us, personally and professionally.”

Sam Sandberg, president of The Plumb Club, adds, “We are thrilled to welcome Lali Jewels, a visionary brand and well-respected company to our membership. Their addition, along with the increased interest we are receiving from a variety of companies, truly underscores the value that The Plumb Club is offering to the industry at large and to its members.”

Lali Jewels, a family owned and operated company, was established in 2015 by brothers Arun and Adam Bassalali, a third-generation jewelry family. Thinking of Retirement? This Jeweler Went for the Company That Shares His Values

Richard Frank of Goldstein’s Jewelry in Mobile, Ala., had worked in his family’s store since he was 13-years old. As its owner, he was proud to be at the helm of Mobile’s oldest jewelry store, an AGS, IJO and RJO member business. But there comes a time in every jeweler’s life when a decision must be made regarding the future. And for Frank, that meant turning the store over to new owners. He chose Wilkerson to handle the sale, a decision, he says, made a long time ago. “Their reputation is such that all the things we value are what they value,” he says. And the results surpassed Frank’s own expectations. Would he recommend Wilkerson for other jewelers who are considering a going-out-of-business or retirement sale? “If you’re contemplating a sale to maximize the return on your business, there is no one else in the industry that I could even think of recommending.”
