I HAVE ALWAYS HAD a passion for snake jewelry — due their various meanings from renewal and rebirth to the Victorian meanings of enduring love. And I also am a fan of antique, vintage and modern styles so when I spotted Leslie Bibb’s pinky ring — a contemporary Arielle Ratner spiraling snake ring with a 1.20-carat pear shape diamond head — I couldn’t resist writing about it since I also wear a snake ring on my pinky.
Bibb was a vision in gold, from her bobbed blonde hair to her yellow gold earrings and shimmering sleeveless Michael Kors dress. But, as much as her entire outfit glowed, the ring was the standout piece.

2025 was the year of the wood snake in the Chinese Lunar calendar but contemporary designers took liberties introducing new serpent styles into their collections in gold and diamonds or precious stones. Antique and vintage dealers also brought out more of their snake pieces which always sell well from Victorian double headed snakes rings and enamel and diamond bracelets to Bulgari Serpenti pieces and modern incarnations of this iconic symbol of history.
Here are some contemporary iterations of the popular motifs in different classifications of jewelry:
