Lisa Beth Bayer, a jewelry designer, illustrator, and sales specialist known across the industry for her vibrant creativity and warm spirit, passed away suddenly on March 18, 2026. She was 64.

Born April 17, 1961, in New York City, Bayer earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston before building a career that wove together art, fashion, and jewelry in a distinctly personal way. Through her company, Lisa Bayer Designs, she created illustrations heavily influenced by fashion and design — recognizable for their exaggerated style, bold use of color, and joyful energy. Her work ranged from wall art to glass trinket trays, and she shared it widely through her popular Instagram account, @sketchnyc.

Alongside her design work, Bayer held various jewelry sales positions throughout her career, most recently serving as a sales specialist at Muse, a jewelry company where she became a beloved member of the team.

Bayer is survived by her mother, Pamela Schoolman, and her son, Luke Bayer. She was predeceased by her father, Marc Stuart Bayer, and her brother, Clifford Bayer. A graveside service was held at Mount Eden Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York, on Sunday, March 22.

A GoFundMe has been launched to help her 22-year-old son Luke cover immediate living expenses and build a financial foundation for his future.
