(PRESS RELEASE) LOS ANGELES, CA — In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Latin GRAMMY Awards, the Latin Recording Academy has partnered with the GRAMMY Museum for a new exhibit: LATIN GRAMMYs 25 – A Legacy of Musical Excellence, which showcases red carpet and stage outfits worn by the top Latin music stars.

Renowned American jewelry designer Lisa Nik has generously contributed to the exhibit by donating a pair of earrings worn by Spanish singer and actress Beatríz Luengo to the 2021 Latin GRAMMY Awards, a significant moment in Latin music history. Luengo and her husband, Cuban singer Yotuel Romero, were honored with awards in two categories –“Song of the Year” and “Urban Song” for their song “Patria y Vida” (Fatherland and Life), which became a social anthem and sparked a major movement for human rights and freedom in Cuba. The outfits worn by Luengo and Romero on this historic night are featured in the exhibit and the Lisa Nik earrings now join it and will remain in the Museum’s permanent collection, serving as a lasting testament to the cultural significance of Latin music and its influence on global social movements. The 18 Kt. gold earrings are part of Lisa Nik’s Golden Hoops collection, a selection of iconic pieces designed to complement any outfit with their sinuous and clean shapes.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration

After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years." Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations. The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
