Local Leaders Honor Baribault Jewelers at 75th Anniversary Celebration

Family marks milestone with ribbon cutting & $100 gift certificates.

(PRESS RELEASE) GLASTONBURY, CONN – Baribault Jewelers marked 75 years as a family-owned business with an event in conjunction with state officials, legislators, and community leaders. The star-studded celebration kicked off with a rededication ribbon cutting ceremony followed by fun and food. Every attendee was surprised with a $100 gift certificate.

The accolades began with the Presentation of a Governor’s Proclamation by Paul O. Robertson, deputy commissioner of the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development, followed by:

  • Presentation of Congressional Citation by outreach coordinator Collin Duran of congressman John Larson’s Office
  • Presentation of CT General Assembly Citation by Glastonbury state senator M.D. Rahman
  • Presentation of CT General Assembly Citation by Glastonbury state representative Jill Barry

“This was such a joyful commemoration as Glastonbury’s first ever jewelry store those many years ago,” explains Lewis Baribault, who took over the fine jewelry store located on Rankin Road in 1988. His three children Christina Baribault Ortiz, Raeann Baribault-Schwartz and Lewis Baribault III help manage the daily operations of the company and will ensure that the Baribault legacy continues long into the future.. “We are grateful to everyone who came out for the festivities as well as the community who has supported and grown with us.”
