M.S. Rau Signs Long-Term Lease for New Gallery in Aspen, CO

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW ORLEANS, LA — M.S. Rau, the internationally acclaimed purveyor of exquisite art, antiques and jewelry, has signed a long-term lease in Aspen, Colorado. Headquartered in New Orleans, the 113-year-old gallery will open its new space in the Aspen Block Building at 307 S. Galena Street in January 2026.

In celebration, M.S. Rau is inviting guests to its designated historic landmark building to explore iconic works by artistic visionaries like Renoir, Picasso and Magritte alongside exquisite objet d’art and jewelry from Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Fabergé, Cartier and more.

The new gallery, encompassing two levels and more than 2,200 square feet, will occupy the street and lower levels of the remarkable Victorian brick building. Located within Aspen’s Commercial Core zone district, it sits at the center of the city’s premier shopping and dining, neighboring Prada, Paradise Bakery, and Rag & Bone.

This occasion marks the first time since its founding in 1912 that M.S. Rau has opened a year-round secondary location. Like its famous New Orleans gallery in the heart of the French Quarter, M.S. Rau Aspen will showcase a variety of museum-quality offerings, including fine art, antiques, jewelry and objet d’art.

“Thanks to our long history in the area, and the success we had last year when we debuted our pop-up in downtown Aspen for the season, we decided to open a second location,” said Aspen resident Andrew Fields, President of M.S. Rau. “We knew that we wanted to be a permanent fixture in the community, as Aspen has a thriving art scene and attracts discerning collectors from around the globe throughout the year.” M.S. Rau Aspen will host special on-site events and exhibitions that connect with the city’s renowned cultural events and thriving community.

Closing With Confidence: How Bailey's Fine Jewelry Achieved Outstanding Results With Wilkerson

When Trey Bailey, President and CEO of Bailey's Fine Jewelry, decided to close the Crabtree location in Raleigh, North Carolina after 15 years, he knew the decision needed to be handled with intention and professionalism. The goal was clear: exit the location while maintaining financial strength and honoring the store's legacy. Having worked with Wilkerson successfully in the past, Bailey understood the value of their comprehensive approach. "They understood both the emotional and financial sides of the store closing sale," Trey explains. "Their reputation for professionalism, results and care made it a very easy decision." The results exceeded expectations. Wilkerson helped Bailey's sell through significant inventory while maintaining the dignity of the closing process. "They don't just run a sale, they help close a chapter in the best way possible," Bailey says, strongly recommending Wilkerson to any jeweler facing a similar transition.
