Natural Diamond Council Launches World Diamond Day on April 8, 2026

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK, NY — The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) will introduce World Diamond Day on April 8, 2026, a new global movement inviting companies and professionals across the diamond industry to share authentic natural diamond stories across social media.

Powered by user-generated content (UGC), the initiative encourages designers, retailers, manufacturers, and industry professionals to post meaningful natural diamond moments across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others on the same day.

The first year will serve as a soft launch, designed to spark a groundswell of participation across the global diamond community and encourage individuals throughout the industry to share what natural diamonds mean to them.

On April 8, participants are invited to post an image or short video highlighting a meaningful natural diamond moment and include the hashtags #WorldDiamondDay and #naturaldiamonds.

Stories may include personal moments such as engagements, anniversaries, and heirlooms; diamond journeys from mine to market; positive impact stories involving communities, education, and conservation; and diamond creations showcasing design, craftsmanship, and collections.

World Diamond Day is intended to be a movement powered by the voices of the global diamond community, creating a wave of user-generated content across social media. Together, these stories will highlight the emotional and cultural significance of natural diamonds and the moments they represent.

In a world where imitation is so often championed, natural diamonds remain powerful symbols of authenticity. Formed over billions of years, natural diamonds mark life’s most meaningful milestones, and this initiative offers the industry an opportunity to reinforce that message through real stories and shared experiences.

Companies across the diamond industry are encouraged to invite their teams, partners, clients, and communities to participate on April 8 by sharing their natural diamond stories on social media using #WorldDiamondDay and #naturaldiamonds.

A dedicated toolkit is available at NaturalDiamonds.com/trade/worlddiamondday, where participants will be able to upload their own images, add the World Diamond Day logo to posts, download ready-to-use social assets, and access participation guidelines.
