(PRESS RELEASE) MUMBAI — The Natural Diamond Council (NDC), a leading advocate for the integrity and positive impact of the diamond industry, announced a new partnership with Aurostar. This collaboration unites two industry leaders with a shared vision for a sustainable future.

Aurostar is a globally recognized diamond manufacturer and builds on a legacy that started in 1966. It is helmed by third generation diamantaires and operates in Dubai, Botswana, USA, and Hong Kong. Aurostar has embedded the best social, ethical, and environmental practices in all its business processes to deliver on the promise of responsibly sourced diamonds.

NDC offers this partnership opportunity to only a select group of industry champions who align with the organization’s vision of building the natural diamond dream while staying rooted in a desire to enhance its sustainability efforts. NDC has created a robust, yet exclusive, community of partners who will help them in this endeavour, and Aurostar is the newest brand to make this commitment to the industry’s future.

Aurostar sees the natural diamond industry as a force for good. It believes that ‘real luxury’ goes beyond great quality and craftsmanship, by also knowing that the product you purchase helps to benefit the communities it touches throughout its supply chain. The company has supported local talent and local entrepreneurs in Botswana through the distinct incubation model, enabling them to be a part of the benefits and value addition of the diamond journey. Aurostar is of the belief that wearing a natural diamond, which is so often linked to the most precious moments in life, should come with the assurance that it did not burden or harm communities or the environment in any way.

Arpan Mehta, managing director at Aurostar Diamonds, stated, “Inspiring consumers and bringing the enchanting stories of diamonds and how they better the lives of many is ever so important in the current climate. In order to regain the consumers’ confidence, we feel it is imperative that the diamond community comes together to actively invest in the promotion of natural diamonds. That is why we are very honoured to be partnering with the NDC and working towards this goal.”

Richa Singh, managing director – India & Middle East, Natural Diamond Council, said, “The NDC is excited with the industry response to our innovative Partnership Program, as we invite key stalwarts of the modern natural diamond sector to build a brighter future for every person who contributes to our industry. We are happy to have Aurostar join our program, as we focus on building compelling consumer and trade narratives around the values, ethical standards, sustainability efforts, and unwavering dedication to transparency championed by our partners.”

You Wouldn’t Cut Your Own Hair. Why Run Your Own Retirement Sale?

After being in business for over a quarter of a century, Wayne Reid, owner of Wayne Jewelers in Wayne, Pennsylvania, decided it was time for a little “me time.” He says, “I’ve reached a point in my life where it’s time to slow down, enjoy a lot of things outside of the jewelry industry. It just seemed to be the right time.” He chose Wilkerson to handle his retirement sale because of their reputation and results. With financial goals exceeded, Reid says he made the right choice selecting Wilkerson to handle the sale. “They made every effort to push our jewelry to the forefront of the showcases,” he says, lauding Wilkerson for their finesse and expertise. Would he recommend them to other jewelers who want to make room for new merchandise, expand their business or like him, decide to call it a day? Absolutely he says, equating trying to do this kind of sale with cutting your own hair. “The results are going to happen but not as well as if you have a professional like Wilkerson do the job for you.”
