NDC Announces ASSURE Expansion and More Service News for December

Rest Assured

The Natural Diamond Council has announced an expansion of its ASSURE Program, which is designed to protect consumers and safeguard the integrity of the natural diamond supply chain by supporting Diamond Verification Instrument (DVI) manufacturers. The ASSURE Program 2.0 will include a second laboratory, diamond-set jewelry testing, and more.

Jm Brings The Zing

Jewelers Mutual Group has launched an online business-to-business publication dedicated to the jewelry industry. True to its tagline, “Celebrating our Industry,” The Zing Report promises to focus on all aspects of the jewelry business and community worth celebrating, from trends and fashion to retailer highlights, charity initiatives, industry personalities, trade show travel and more.

Enhanced Education

The Diamond Council of America (DCA) has launched an all-new digital Learning Management System to help make its online jewelry education an even more convenient and enjoyable experience. The update includes an overhauled and interactive DCA Diamond Course, new and expanded course content, and a streamlined learning platform.

Handy Book

The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) has released an updated 10th edition of its popular Jewelry Appraisal Handbook. The 2021 edition includes current information and best practices in the appraisal profession.

Be Buzzworthy

Jewelry marketing expert Tammy Benda has founded a new business, Buzz Advertising Agency, and it’s all about jewelry! That’s right: Buzz is an advertising agency that works with both jewelers and wholesalers and is dedicated solely to jewelry businesses.

Moving Up — Not Out — with Wilkerson

Trish Parks has always wanted to be in the jewelry business and that passion has fueled her success. The original Corinth Jewelers opened in the Mississippi town of the same name in 2007. This year, Parks moved her business from its original strip mall location to a 10,000-square foot standalone store. To make room for fresh, new merchandise, she asked Wilkerson to organize a moving sale. “What I remember most about the sale is the outpouring excitement and appreciation from our customers,” says Parks. Would she recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers? “I would recommend Wilkerson because they came in, did what they were supposed to and made us all comfortable. And we met our goals.”
