New Book Profiles the Partnerships and Family Legacies Behind Independent Jewelry Brands

ACC Art Books will publish “Jewelry Creators: Dynamic Duos and Generational Gems” by Beth Bernstein and Sonia Esther Soltani in spring 2026. The book examines the relationships — between partners, family members and collaborators — behind some of the jewelry industry’s independent designers, gem dealers and established brands.

The book is divided into two sections. “Dynamic Duos” covers siblings, parents and children, married couples and close friends who have built businesses and collections together. “Generational Gems” profiles designers and families who have built on inherited skills, traditions and industry knowledge, including those who have continued family practices and those who have launched new approaches.

Brands and designers featured include Lalaounis, Selim Mouzannar, Monica Rich Kosann, Jade Trau, Sorellina, Sethi Couture, Single Stone, Lord Jewelry, Julius Klein and Walters Faith, among others.

“My co-author, Sonia Esther Soltani, and I have laughed, teared up, and generally been taken in by the heartfelt and honest stories we have heard,” said Bernstein, who is also a regular contributor to INSTORE. “This book invites you into the worlds of the talents featured — their highs and lows, trepidations and triumphs, and the behind-the-scenes tales that are interwoven in their jewelry.”

“Each profile offers a glimpse into collaboration and shared vision,” said Soltani. “When personal bonds meet creative purpose, something extraordinary happens. These pages are filled with joy: the joy of finding a kindred spirit, of building on a family story, and of shaping tomorrow’s heirlooms.”
