IT HAS BEEN reported that mother-in-law Victoria Beckham owns 15 engagement rings she acquired through her 22 years of marriage to David Beckham. Are engagement rings the new “collector’s item”? It seems that Nicola, who married Brooklyn Beckham a little over a month ago, is already donning a new upgraded engagement ring. The couple married on April 9th at the Beckham family’s Palm Beach estate. When Brooklyn proposed to Nicola in 2020, he did it with an emerald-cut engagement ring with a pavé diamond shank, the photos of which were posted on both the couple’s Instagram feeds.

But there was a new ring (actually two new rings) on Nicola’s finger, which we first a glimpsed on Nicola’s IG feed as she was getting ready for the Met Gala and then again at the Met Gala on May 3, 2022. But on May 10th, Nicola posted selfies of her new rock (and I mean rock!): a reported 8-10 carat oval stone, flanked by what seems like two trillion or trapezoid diamonds with a dazzler of an emerald-cut diamond eternity band. The caption for the IG post simply read “The Ring.”

The original emerald-cut engagement ring was a beauty, far more subtle, yet still one I wouldn’t pass up. This has got me wondering if she still has the first ring and is creating a wardrobe of engagement rings, or if she traded it in for the new larger stone and look, and if Brooklyn will follow in his dad David’s footsteps and present Nicola with a ring for almost every year they are married. Right now, it only took a few days for the switch and a less than a month to share it, but time will tell if and how often Nicola will be flashing a new ring on her left hand.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
