(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — NY NOW announced the launch of CURATED at Luxury Lifestyle to their Summer Market, taking place August 4-7, 2024, at the Jacob Javits Center. This new segment is an expansion of the inaugural Emerging Fine Jewelry Designer Incubator that debuted at the Winter 2024 Market and will showcase the work of talented fine jewelry creatives.

“We are excited to build upon the momentum we established during our Winter Market to further amplify these exceptional voices and solidify Luxury Lifestyle as a destination that exudes refined elegance,” noted Kim Mancuso Telford, general manager, NY NOW. “Luxury Lifestyle is a curated section of our event designed with our buyers’ needs in mind. The introduction of CURATED exemplifies our commitment to discovering innovative talent and creating a seamless experience in a refined setting.”

In addition to offering the opportunity to exhibit in the specialized section for three consecutive shows, the participating brands will also be offered a robust roster of education sessions and one-on-one consultations. The sessions are hosted by various experts who strive to create a sense of community among the designers while bolstering their business acumen. The curriculum and thought-leadership support offered to the designers is spearheaded by Liz Kantner and Robin Kramer, who are uniquely positioned to understand the nuanced challenges that designer fine jewelry businesses face. Together, the pair provides actionable advice and decisive feedback that can advance the success of exhibiting brands.

“CURATED at Luxury Lifestyle is tailored to brands that are on the cusp of greatness,” Kantner and Kramer explained in a joint statement. “We seek brands who possess both remarkable talent and a proven track record of business ability. While these brands are considered ‘emerging,’ they are already well on their way to success and remain eager for further professional development. They also embrace the strength of a collaborative community of fellow creatives.”

Mancuso Telford, Kantner, and Kramer are joined by Morgan Amelia Miller, Sales Director, Jewelry & Accessories; Simone Waldron, Luxury Lifestyle Curator; and Ashley Ciofrone, senior sales manager; who share the NY NOW team’s commitment to nurturing diverse, new talent within the category.

The 2024 launch of CURATED at Luxury Lifestyle will feature the work of 16 trailblazing designers. Half of these designers are seasoned NY NOW veterans, while the other half will be making their NY NOW debut. To learn more about Luxury Lifestyle, click here.

Retiring? Let Wilkerson Do the Heavy Lifting

Retirement can be a great part of life. As Nanji Singadia puts it, “I want to retire and enjoy my life. I’m 78 now and I just want to take a break.” That said, Nanji decided that the best way to move ahead was to contact the experts at Wilkerson. He chose them because he knew that closing a store is a heavy lift. To maximize sales and move on to the next, best chapter of his life, he called Wilkerson—but not before asking his industry friends for their opinion. He found that Wilkerson was the company most recommended and says their professionalism, experience and the homework they did before the launch all helped to make his going out of business sale a success. “Wilkerson were working on the sale a month it took place,” he says. “They did a great job.”
