(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — U.S. Antique Shows recently announced that it is changing the date of the 2021 Original Miami Beach Antique Show from January to March. The decision to adjust the show dates was based on continued concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel restrictions both domestically and internationally, as well as ongoing restrictions on large group gatherings. Originally slated to take place in late January, the new show dates are Friday, March 12, to Tuesday, March 16, 2021, allowing for a show that runs over the course of a full weekend. OMBAS will again take place at its original home in the Miami Beach Convention Center.

“Our community is incredibly eager to come together again in person. After consulting with many of our long-standing exhibitors and attendees, as well as our advisory board, we made the decision to secure dates in mid-March in order to ensure maximum success for the event for all customer types,” said Gannon Brousseau, executive vice president of the Emerald Jewelry Group. “The demographic of both exhibitors and attendees of the Original Miami Beach Antique Show is international; moving the dates to March will ideally allow for increased participation for overseas customers seeking to travel to Miami.”

Now in its 57th year, OMBAS showcases antique and vintage jewelry, watches, furniture, art, home décor and collectibles from over 700 vendors hailing from over 30 countries. The event, which is open to the public, also features several educational opportunities, including its popular Jewelry History Series, Appraisal Day, and complimentary guided educational tours. OMBAS will once again be held in the Miami Beach Convention Center, which recently underwent a $620 Million renovation. This state-of-the-art facility now boasts LEED Certification, which indicates a high level of indoor environmental quality, a striking new exterior, and beautifully landscaped public parks, allowing for an all-encompassing show experience.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
