Paris Jewellers Announces First Lab-Created Diamond Collection

(PRESS RELEASE) EDMONTON, AB — Paris Jewellers is launching its first Lab-Created Diamond Collection in-stores and online on November 8, 2022. The collection features a selection of engagement rings and timeless jewelry styles finely crafted in 14kt recycled gold. Each piece features diamonds created in state-of-the-art laboratories for outstanding quality and brilliance. This new collection ensures that customers have a choice when it comes to diamond size, color clarity and budget when choosing their dream piece.

Lab-created diamonds are identical to mined diamonds in their composition; they have the exact physical, chemical and optical properties meaning that they have the same hardness and durability. Mined diamonds are crystallized under enormous pressure and at very high temperatures from the earth’s mantle (1-3 million years) while these conditions are replicated in a laboratory for lab-created diamonds (2+ weeks). Diamonds in the Lab-Created Diamond Collection are created from the high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) method and grow most similarly to a mined diamond.

Graded by the same standards known as the 4Cs (carat, cut, clarity and color); the diamonds feature a clarity and color grade of VS2-HI (bridal collection) and SI1-HI (fine jewelry collection). The bridal collection features nine engagement rings and three matching wedding bands. The fine jewelry collection features seven styles including two pendants, three pairs of earrings and two tennis bracelets. Each piece comes with an IGI certificate including the diamond’s unique laser inscription.

“We are so excited to provide our customers with more options for their dream ring. We understand how important this special piece of jewelry is, and what it means. Having a lab-created collection allows our customers a choice in selecting a piece with a higher carat weight, color and clarity at a lower price point than mined diamonds.” Says co-owner, Chau Lui. “We proudly offer both options, and believe that whether lab-created or mined, it’s the customer’s choice to find something perfect for them.”

For every piece sold, Paris Jewellers will plant one tree in Canada, focused in the British Columbia region affected by forest fires, with the co-owners matching all donations at the end of 2022.

The Lab-Created Collection will launch in all 23 stores and online here on November 8, 2022.
