(PRESS RELEASE) Columbia Gem House’s Pebbles to Pines fundraiser raised $7,750 for the National Forest Foundation through raffle ticket sales, with an additional contribution from Columbia Gem House bringing the total to $10,000. The event, held in partnership with MJSA’s Responsibly Sourced Design Challenge, united the jewelry industry and consumers in support of a shared mission: planting trees and restoring critical habitats across the U.S. as part of a commitment to responsible sourcing.
A total of 300 raffle tickets were sold, with the funds raised directly benefitting NFF’s Reforestation Program. For every dollar that was donated, one tree will be planted in critical need areas, including forests in Oregon, Arizona, and Montana—states from which this year’s featured gems were sourced.
“While we are thrilled to have raised $7,750, our original goal of planting 10,000 trees requires a total of $10,000. To ensure we reached that target and continue supporting the work of the National Forest Foundation, Columbia Gem House has decided to contribute an additional $2,250,” said Natasha Braunwart, the Company’s Brand & Corporate Social Responsibility Manager. “This means that, together, we are fully funding the planting of 10,000 trees in critical areas across Oregon, Arizona, Montana, and beyond.”
The fundraiser garnered support from participants in three countries and over 25 states across the U.S. Columbia Gem House extends its sincere thanks to the generous designers involved, MJSA for amplifying the cause, and to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket or helped spread the word—your support is what made this fundraiser a resounding success.
