Van Scoy Jewelers owner Caroline Hill has been inviting local female entrepreneurs to her storefront every Tuesday in March for a rotating series of pop-up showcases. Guests have included an event planning business and a bridal boutique — businesses that naturally overlap with the occasions that bring customers into a jewelry store in the first place.

“Sunday was International Women’s Day, but we’re celebrating it the whole month,” Hill told WFMZ-TV (VIDEO AT LINK). “I’ve invited all women-owned businesses that are local and small to come out,” Hill said.

The weekly format — one or two new guest businesses per Tuesday — keeps events intimate and gives each participant dedicated spotlight time rather than folding them into a single crowded showcase.

Hill connected the effort to Women2Women, a local chamber of commerce initiative designed to help women support and grow one another’s businesses. Van Scoy Jewelers has been in business for more than 40 years.
