Day 1: All Choked Up

Designers are neck-in-neck with a trend we have seen all over the red carpet during awards season and on the runways for fall and winter:  necklaces that encircle the throat in styles that range from chokers to torques to collars. More often than not, they are being designed in yellow gold with a nod to the looks of the 70s and early 80s disco era. Diamond accents are prevalent, although we are also seeing these styles with gemstones in the center. These can be worn alone or layered with longer pendants and/or graduated with diamond tennis necklaces.
