Rebag (Brooklyn, N.Y) has entered a strategic retail and digital partnership with Bloomingdale’s (New York) that includes placing shops-in-shops in five department stores. This first-of-its-kind collaboration “is designed to promote sustainability and circularity while providing unparalleled access to best-in-class brands,” the companies said in a news release.
The partnership includes a curated selection of 500-plus items in five Bloomingdale’s stores nationwide and more than 2500 designer handbags, watches and fine jewelry available online at Bloomingdales.com.
The custom-designed Rebag concessions will be located on the accessories floors of Bloomingdale’s stores in the following locales:
- The Mall at Short Hills, N.J.
- White Plains, N.Y.
- Town Center at Boca Raton, Fla.
- Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
- Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego.
Each concession will feature a curated selection of pre-owned luxury items available for purchase. Bloomingdale’s customers will also be able to receive offers for select items they wish to sell. Rebag’s resale service leverages its proprietary AI tool, CLAIR, which uses millions of data points to determine fair item values and offer fast quotes and payouts on premises.
Said Charles Gorra, CEO and Founder of Rebag: “This partnership epitomizes our vision of the complementary relationship between first-hand and second-hand luxury. By bringing Rebag’s expertise in sourcing and vetting luxury goods to Bloomingdale’s discerning clientele, we are setting a new standard in the luxury retail experience.”
Those sentiments were seconded by Jennifer Jones, SVP/GMM Center Core-Women’s Accessories at Bloomingdale’s, a unit of Macy’s: “This strategic partnership brings a new set of ultra-luxury brands to Bloomingdale’s, while providing access to the finest pre-owned luxury items, enabling a full circular experience.”

Ready to Relocate? Wilkerson Makes Your Move Seamless
When Brockhaus Jewelry decided to leave their longtime West Main Street storefront for a standalone building elsewhere in Norman, Oklahoma, owners John Brockhaus and Brad Shipman faced a familiar challenge: how to efficiently reduce inventory before the big move. Their solution? Partnering with liquidation specialists Wilkerson for a second time.
"We'd already experienced Wilkerson's professionalism during a previous sale," Shipman recalls. "But their approach to our relocation event truly impressed us. They strategically prioritized our existing pieces while tactfully introducing complementary merchandise as inventory levels decreased." The carefully orchestrated sale didn't just meet targets—it shattered them.
Asked if they'd endorse Wilkerson to industry colleagues planning similar transitions—whether relocating, retiring, or refreshing their space—both partners were emphatic in their approval. "The entire process was remarkably straightforward," Shipman notes. "Wilkerson delivered a well-structured program, paired us with a knowledgeable advisor, and managed every detail flawlessly from concept to completion."
