RILEY KEOUGH, ELVIS PRESLEY’s granddaughter, is perhaps best known for her role the limited series Daisy Jones & the Six, based on the bestselling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid. She had been in films before, but this truly showcased her singing and acting talent. She’s been an ambassador for Chanel, and during Paris Fashion Week featuring 2025 spring/summer read-to-wear collections, she closed the show with a dynamic performance, singing Prince’s “When Doves Cry” while on a swing in a white bird cage above the runway. This was reportedly a nod to Chanel’s famous 1991 fragrance ad featuring French model Vanessa Paradis on a swing in a golden birdcage. ABC News wrote, “According to Chanel the birdcage was a nod to Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment at 31, rue Cambon in Paris, in which she also had a decorative birdcage in her apartment.”

Dressed in diaphanous black, Keough wore multiple necklaces, and one was a large either diamond or paste dove that looked antique to me but could have been a newer piece. I couldn’t get more information on the pendant necklace except that it seemed to give a wink to the song, Chanel, the birdcage and Paris. One of the popular symbols in France during the late 18th century was the Saint Esprit, which is a dove-shaped religious symbol that represents the Holy Ghost. It was produced in both silver and gold and was set with real gemstones or paste. During the 19th century, doves also took on the meaning of peace inscribed with the Latin “pax.”

So much for the history. The dove necklaces among the other layers couldn’t have been more befitting for her amazing performance.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration

After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years." Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations. The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
