RJO Foundation Silent Art Auction Raises Nearly $15,000

(PRESS RELEASE) PHOENIX, AZ — The RJO Foundation announces the success of its recent Silent Art Auction, which featured eight one-of-a-kind paintings created by RJO retailer and artist Mike Doland. The auction raised nearly $15,000 to support the mission of the Foundation, providing vital resources for industry education and community initiatives.

Among the standout pieces was the spectacular “Constellations over the Sedona”, presented by VEER and Mike Doland. This unique painting incorporates over 10 carats of natural diamonds donated by VEER, carefully placed across the Sedona sky to reveal glowing constellations under UV light. The piece also utilizes glow-in-the-dark paint, allowing the diamonds to shimmer magically even without external UV illumination.

Mike Doland, the artist, shared his inspiration:
“With ‘Constellations over the Sedona,’ our goal was to showcase natural diamonds as true works of art. The interplay of natural diamond fluorescence and glowing paint highlights the inherent magic and beauty of these remarkable gems, crafted by nature, enhanced by imagination.”

Sarah Streb, Executive Director of the RJO Foundation, emphasized the impact of the event:
“This auction demonstrates the creativity, generosity, and passion of our RJO family. The funds raised will directly support our Foundation’s mission, allowing us to continue providing educational programs and opportunities to our members and communities.”

Kaushal Shah, CEO of VEER, which collaborated on the piece, added:
“Partnering with Mike Doland on this extraordinary work of art was truly inspiring. ‘Constellations over the Sedona’ is a perfect example of how jewelry, art, and innovation can come together to make a meaningful impact.”

The auction’s overall success, with nearly $15,000 raised, reflects the strength and dedication of the RJO community, underscoring the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to advancing education and growth within the retail jewelry industry.
