Royal Touch Becomes a New Member of RJC

(PRESS RELEASE) Royal Touch LLC, announces that it has become a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), the world’s leading standard setting agency for the global jewelry and watch industry. The company’s membership includes signing codes of conduct with the Responsible Jewellery Council. Royal Touch’ membership in the RJC reflects its commitment to responsible business practices and the wider sustainability agenda, aimed at creating positive impacts along the jewelry supply chain, from mine to retail.

“We are happy to be a part of RJC,” stated Ashish Rawat, director, Royal Touch. “We are committed to responsible business practices as our primary and definitive goal was our unwavering commitment toward our clients globally. We are honored to be a part of such an important organization in this industry. We conduct our business according to three business principles related to our sustainably strategy imbedded in our overall philosophy: People, Planet and Product.”

Once Royal Touch has completed a self-assessment, the company’s practices will be audited by an independent, objective auditor, who reports the results to RJC. The organization can then issue Royal Touch a certification for either one or three years, depending on whether the auditors find significant practices on which the company need to improve. Royal Touch will then be re-audited on a regular basis after that.

RJC helps companies of all sizes, throughout the jewelry supply chain, meet the rising demands of consumers and other stakeholders to know more about the responsible practices of the companies from whom they buy.

“Royal Touch is demonstrating its leadership in an important part of the colored gemstone supply chain for jewelry in the USA,” said John Hall, interim executive director of RJC. “RJC hopes even more organizations will be inspired to follow in Royal Touch’ footsteps to help put people first. Royal Touch is now part of the 205 RJC members in the USA and we do hope to grow this number significantly coming years.
