Sarah Paulson’s Mateo New York hoops made such a bold statement on the Emmys Red Carpet that the actress didn’t even need to add a necklace to her dramatic red Carolina Herrera gown. She may have worn rings, but the celeb’s dress also had pockets (!!) and she kept her hands cozy while facing the paparazzi, so we’ll never know.

Each semicircle of these megawatt hoops shimmers with a series of chunky diamonds and a slender gold spike topped with yet another luscious diamond. The gorgeous earrings were created by Mateo New York as part of the RADvocacy Black is Brilliant campaign, a De Beers Group initiative that promotes Black jewelry designers. The diamonds were ethically and sustainably mined in Botswana.

Stars Taraji P. Henson and Ellen Pompeo also sported stone-heavy diamond statement hoops for the 2021 Emmys. The level of sparkle guarantees that these shining circles are an immediate wow, but the familiar silhouette means that less famous jewelry lovers could also feel comfortable trying the effortlessly glamorous look.

Ultra-sparkling hoops are a versatile neutral and would be absolutely perfect as a self-purchase or gift for the upcoming holiday season.
