(PRESS RELEASE)AVENTURA, FL — After several decades as jewelry and watch industry leaders, Scott and Maxine King of King Jewelers have announced their retirement.

The King family has a long and prominent history in the industry. In 1912, Scott’s Great-Great Grandfather, Louis King, launched the family’s five-generation jewelry business as the first jewelry store in South Florida.

Through the years, King Jewelers has serviced many celebrities, musicians, and athletes including Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Dwade Wayne, and more.

“It’s been our pleasure to serve not only generations of South Floridians, but also family generations from all over the country who have remained our loyal clients and friends throughout the years. I’m especially proud of my two boys who will continue the King legacy as Maxine and I retire,” says Scott King.

King Jewelers’ CEO Scott King has devoted his entire life to upholding the King legacy. As the President of King Jewelers, Maxine King has played a crucial role in the development and success of the company.

“While it’s very difficult to say goodbye to our friends and clients in South Florida, we retire with so much gratitude. For more than fifty years, we’ve given our hearts to style our clients from around the world in some of the most spectacular jewelry and diamond creations,” says Maxine King.

David and Jonathan King will continue the family business and legacy at King Jewelers’ store in Nashville, Tennessee. With the closing of the Aventura store, the Nashville location has become the new flagship store of King Jewelers.

Although the closure of the Aventura store marks the end of an era, King Jewelers will continue to provide concierge and online services to the South Florida region while upkeeping the tradition of “A Family of Fine Jewelers Since 1912.”

The fifth generation of Kings is thriving, and the family is committed to continuing the 111-year legacy. The Nashville store continues to expand, starting with the opening of an IWC Schaffhausen boutique this fall in addition to other several new projects on the horizon in Tennessee. Looking for a Seamless Sale? Call Wilkerson

After almost 60 years in business, Breakiron Jewelers in Erie, Pennsylvania, was closing its doors. And the store’s owner, Linda Breakiron, was ready for it. She had run the store as its sole owner since the beginning of the millennium and was looking forward to a change. Of course, she called Wilkerson. Breakiron talked to other jewelers who had used Wilkerson and was satisfied with their response. “They always had positive feedback,” she recalls. With the sales, marketing and even additional inventory that Wilkerson provided, Breakiron insists she could never have accomplished her going-out-of-business sale without Wilkerson’s help. She’s now ready for the journey ahead, but looking back, she’d be sure to recommend Wilkerson. “They just made the whole process very seamless.”
