Akio Naito has been appointed to the newly created position of chairman of Seiko Corp. of America, which is a subsidiary of Seiko Watch Corp.

Naito also serves concurrently as senior executive vice president for Seiko Watch Corp. as well as a member of the board of directors for the ultimate parent company, Seiko Holdings Corp., both headquartered in Tokyo. Naito brings over 14 years of dedication to the international watchmaking enterprise, having held leadership roles in Australia and Japan. Mr. Naito’s role as chairman will be to lead the long term strategical planning of Seiko Corp. of America, while also acting as a lead role in the high-level management liaison between Seiko Corp. of America and Seiko Watch Corp.

“I am honored to have been selected to this newly created position as Chairman of Seiko Corporation of America,” Naito says. “I assume this esteemed role during an exciting time for the brand’s continued development in its luxury collections, continued success in the core lines, and continued expansion of boutique openings across the nation.
