THE 78TH ANNUAL BAFTA (British Academy Film Awards) was ablaze with diamond jewels that shone almost as brightly as the stars that attended the event. Selena Gomez was one of the celebrities who wore some stunning sparklers. Personally, I would have preferred a simpler gown in vivid color that might have not competed with the jewelry the way in which the glittering custom Schiaparelli Couture gown did. Don’t get me wrong, the work on the gown and the way it fit her curves was amazing, but it detracted a bit from the vintage Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Yet they were still quite noticeable and were on trend with celebrities wearing archival pieces during the various awards shows this season (including the Academy Awards). We have mentioned in prior posts about the trend in mixing jewels from different time periods and how this combination is more alluring than wearing all pieces from one era. Gomez wore pieces from the Art Deco, Retro and mid-20th century periods.

My favorite were the Tiffany & Co. Archives bracelets in platinum with diamonds (1930-39) and Tiffany & Co. Archives bracelet in platinum-iridium with diamonds (1957).

But then, what’s not to love? The Tiffany & Co. Archives earrings in platinum with diamonds (1950-1960) were just the right length and accented Gomez’s beauty. She also wore the contemporary Tiffany Victoria diamond vine band in platinum and a high jewelry ring in 18K white gold with an over 10-carat diamond and diamond accents.

Ready to Relocate? Wilkerson Makes Your Move Seamless

When Brockhaus Jewelry decided to leave their longtime West Main Street storefront for a standalone building elsewhere in Norman, Oklahoma, owners John Brockhaus and Brad Shipman faced a familiar challenge: how to efficiently reduce inventory before the big move. Their solution? Partnering with liquidation specialists Wilkerson for a second time. "We'd already experienced Wilkerson's professionalism during a previous sale," Shipman recalls. "But their approach to our relocation event truly impressed us. They strategically prioritized our existing pieces while tactfully introducing complementary merchandise as inventory levels decreased." The carefully orchestrated sale didn't just meet targets—it shattered them. Asked if they'd endorse Wilkerson to industry colleagues planning similar transitions—whether relocating, retiring, or refreshing their space—both partners were emphatic in their approval. "The entire process was remarkably straightforward," Shipman notes. "Wilkerson delivered a well-structured program, paired us with a knowledgeable advisor, and managed every detail flawlessly from concept to completion."
