The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair will be held Sept. 13-17 at AsiaWorld-Expo and Sept. 15-19 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Now in its 34th edition, the fair enjoys support from key industry players around the world. The fair is a trading platform for exhibitors and a global marketplace for buyers seeking jewelry, gemstones, designs and materials. Concurrent special events, workshops and receptions make the fair a good venue for networking and learning.

This year’s September Fair hosts over 3,550 exhibitors from 54 countries and regions in more than 135,000 square meters of exhibition space.

"We are excited to unveil numerous new events, launch value-added show features and introduce new exhibitors at this edition as part of our initiative to continually enhance buyers’ experiences," said Celine Lau, director of jewelry fairs, UBM Asia. "We work hard to develop the September Fair to ensure that it responds to the market’s ever-changing needs. Of course, we are also working hard to make sure that through our quality service, the September Fair maintains its reputation as the world’s leading jewelry event,"

Sunny Chan, deputy fair manager, jewelry fairs, UBM Asia, said the September Fair is expected to welcome around 58,000 local and overseas visitors over its seven-day run. "Participants can expect the same business-friendly environment and reliable and professional services that have become the hallmarks of UBM Asia’s fairs over the past several years," he said.

New attractions include exhibitors from Nigeria, Portugal, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Slovakia, Tahiti and Vanuatu. In addition, the September Fair welcomes new group pavilions from Myanmar and Portugal, which bring to 25 the number of group pavilions at this edition in the two venues. The rest are companies from Antwerp, Brazil, mainland China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United States, and the International Colored Gemstone Association.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
