Shayla Stonechild x Paris Jewellers Collab is Coming Back

(PRESS RELEASE) Due to popular demand, on June 9, they will have a limited-time release of their Shayla Stonechild x Paris Jewellers second collection (click here), in celebration of National Indigenous History Month, with 100% of the net proceeds donated to the Matriarch Movement. (With your help we have raised over $40,000 so far.)

With the goal of amplifying Indigenous voices, the collection consists of a 21” sterling silver necklace ($149) as well as a pair of earrings ($129) available in both sterling silver and 10kt solid yellow gold-plated sterling silver. All pieces feature an arrowhead pendant (removable on the earrings to create a classic hoop) with delicate, ethically sourced diamonds. These diamonds symbolize our past, present and future as well as the foundations within the Medicine Wheel which represent the interconnectivity of everyone and everything.

The arrowhead pendant is a tribute to Shayla’s lineage as her late grandfather, Ray Oulette found an arrowhead (which symbolizes protection, strength and vision) in the backyard of her childhood home. In 2022, healing and reconciling (based upon respect, reciprocity and long-term relationship building) between our nations and communities should be at the forefront.

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options. His lease was nearing renewal time and with no succession plan, he decided it was time to call Wilkerson. There was plenty of inventory to sell and at first, says Wesley, he thought he might try to manage a sale himself. But he’s glad he didn’t. “There’s no way I could have done this as well as Wilkerson,” he says. Wilkerson took responsibility for the entire event, with every detail — from advertising to accounting — done, dusted and managed by the Wilkerson team. “It’s the complete package,” he says of the Wilkerson method of helping jewelers to easily go on to the next phase of their lives. “There’s no way any retailer can duplicate what they’ve done.”
