Silpada Supports the Breast Cancer Community

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – Silpada, a leading jewelry e-tailer committed to helping women feel confident and beautiful, is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month in partnership with Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), a national nonprofit organization that provides trusted information and a community of support for women diagnosed with breast cancer and for those who care about them. Both companies similarly value the impact and strength of strong communities for women and are therefore teaming up this fall to make a meaningful difference. An exclusive limited edition jewelry collection, including an expressive new ring designed by a breast cancer survivor, will launch on Silpada.com on October 1st with 50% of all sales proceeds being donated to LBBC for the entire month of October.

“Silpada is and always has been a strong advocate of sisterhood and building community in support of women,” says Lee Senderov, president of Richline Digital. “LBBC also focuses on supporting women and their community of loved ones as they battle breast cancer. We are honored to champion the important work of LBBC and thrilled to help sustain their efforts by donating 50% of the sales proceeds from this exclusive new limited-edition collection.”

An all-new five piece jewelry collection has been created for this special partnership. All five designs are limited edition and feature the iconic Breast Cancer Awareness color of pink. Two gold-plated silver necklaces with pink cubic zirconia (CZ) will retail for $59, and two earrings with pink CZs will sell for $39. These will debut on the Silpada website on October 1st.

Additionally, a special new ring from a guest designer will feature rose quartz for $69 and will launch on October 14th. The guest designer, an art teacher, who is an LBBC member and breast cancer survivor, included design elements which highlight the various aspects of her personal journey. The etchings on the face of the ring represent the unique physical and emotional scars endured by every survivor, and the ring features a powerful inner inscription, “Kind Heart, Fierce Mind, Brave Spirit”. Also, the natural rose quartz accent stone on the top of the ring was selected for its well-known energetic properties promoting compassion, love, forgiveness and peace of mind.

“We love the idea of jewelry that advocates healing and breast cancer awareness,” said Jean A. Sachs CEO, Living Beyond Breast Cancer. “At Living Beyond Breast Cancer, we provide information and services designed to support women diagnosed with and being treated for breast cancer. We also understand the emotional and psychological importance of women feeling beautiful and wearing talismans like jewelry as physical reminders of how very much they are loved as they go through the treatment process.”

The collection will be available on Silpada.com all month, and 50% of the proceeds from sales of the five pieces will be donated directly to LBBC. For more information or to view the new collection, please visit Silpada.com.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
