11 One date looms large over September, and that’s the 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9/11 ATTACKS on America. See what worthy activities you can join in your local business community.

19 At 110 million strong, singles dwarf just about every other demographic out there. During SINGLES WEEK, brainstorm what you can do to tap this segment — arguably the biggest overlooked opportunity for jewelers.

22 “We had joy, we had fun, we had SEASONS IN THE SUN …” It’s been 40-odd years since that mawkish tune conquered the charts and lodged in the brains of a generation. Hum it as you prepare an end of summer bash to clear your cases for the upcoming bridal and holiday seasons.

29 There’s nothing quite like the aroma of coffee to make people slow down, linger and contemplate all that is good in life. On NATIONAL COFFEE DAY, team up with a gourmet coffee shop to do a tasting or a gift certificate promotion.

Wilkerson Testimonials | Zadok Master Jewelers

Stick to the Program — And Watch Your Sales Grow

When Zadok Master Jewelers in Houston, Texas, decided to move to a new location (they’d been in the same one for the 45 years they’d been in business), they called Wilkerson to run a moving sale. The results, says seventh-generation jeweler Jonathan Zadok, were “off the charts” in terms of traffic and sales. Why? They took Wilkerson’s advice and stuck to the company’s marketing program, which included sign twirlers — something Jonathan Zadok had never used before. He says a number of very wealthy customers came in because of them. “They said, ‘I loved your sign twirlers and here’s my credit card for $20,000.’ There’s no way we could have done that on our own,” says Zadok. “Without Wilkerson, the sale never, ever would have come close to what it did.”
