Former Richline Group CEO Dennis Ulrich and Italy-America Chamber of Commerce president Alberto Milani have co-founded Piazza Italia “Stronger Together” — a membership network and shared physical coworking space. Located in New York City, the space is dedicated to the beginning of a new chapter of excellence for upscale Italian jewelry, fashion, accessories, and design-focused brands.

Inspired Design

The American Jewelry Design Council (AJDC) has created a new biennial contest, the AJDC Jose Hess Design Awards, in honor of the innovative designer. Applicants must design and create an outstanding original piece of jewelry based on the theme “Connection” for a chance to win a grand prize of $15,000. Applications open March 15, with initial materials due June 1, and finished pieces due Sept. 2.


Together Again

The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) will be returning to the JCK Show this summer at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas! AGTA GemFair Las Vegas will open on Thursday, June 9, with the rest of the JCK show floor opening on Friday, June 10 through Monday, June 13.

Time for More “Me Time”? Time to Call Wilkerson

Rick White, owner of White’s & Co. Jewelry in Rogers, Ark., knew it was time to retire. Since the age of 18, jewelry had been his life. Now it was time to get that “me time” every retailer dreams about. So, he chose Wilkerson to manage his going-out-of-business sale. White says he’d done plenty of sales on his own, but this was different. “Wilkerson has been a very, very good experience.
