Stuller Now Accepting Bridal Designs for Annual Competition

(PRESS RELEASE) LAFAYETTE, LA – Stuller is now accepting designs for its seventh annual March Bridal Madness competition, a bridal jewelry design contest hosted on the company’s Facebook page.

Jewelers can enter any engagement ring or wedding band they have created either for a customer or for their showcase. Once the entry is submitted the designs will be put on Stuller’s Facebook page, which is where the first round of voting begins. The top three designs with the most likes/reactions will then move on to the final round of judging, which is done by a panel of experts here at Stuller. The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 Stuller account credit.

Important dates for the competition:
• From March 1 to March 15, email stuller@stuller.com a picture of your best engagement ring or wedding band design.
• Fan voting on Facebook will take place from March 18 to March 31.
• Top three fan favorites will be announced on April 1.
• Overall winner will be announced on April 12.

“Every year this competition has grown bigger and bigger,” said Shay. “Last year we had 100 entries and the designs were all remarkable. We cannot wait to see what we will get this year.”

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options. His lease was nearing renewal time and with no succession plan, he decided it was time to call Wilkerson. There was plenty of inventory to sell and at first, says Wesley, he thought he might try to manage a sale himself. But he’s glad he didn’t. “There’s no way I could have done this as well as Wilkerson,” he says. Wilkerson took responsibility for the entire event, with every detail — from advertising to accounting — done, dusted and managed by the Wilkerson team. “It’s the complete package,” he says of the Wilkerson method of helping jewelers to easily go on to the next phase of their lives. “There’s no way any retailer can duplicate what they’ve done.”
