The article quotes Richard Garard, secretary-general of the IGDA, who said that the organization’s membership has grown to 20-plus companies and technical experts since its launch in February.
The IGDA, per its website, is a not-for-profit organization that promotes lab-grown diamonds and educates consumers about synthetic diamonds’ qualities and applications. After the group formed, Rapaport’s Avi Krawitz wrote that it could “serve as a wake-up call to the industry.”
