The sighting: Actress Vanessa Hudgens of High School Musical and Netflix Christmas movie fame just announced her engagement on Instagram with a gorgeous Parisian ring selfie! Let’s take a look at the sparkler she revealed.

The jewels: It’s often difficult to get definite specs on celebrity engagement ring, but this one was especially difficult to confirm because experts cannot agree on the solitaire’s shape and size. What we know for sure is that it’s a beautiful, long diamond on a yellow gold band.

Zaven Ghaniman, CEO of Simon G., estimates that the diamond is a 5 carat oval, worth around $150,000-$200,000. Hello Magazine ran a quote from The Diamond Pro’s Mike Fried, who thinks the oval diamond is closer to 7 carats. Popsugar talked to Olivia Landau of The Clear Cut, who says the stone appears to be a 3-3.5 carat oval worth $40,000 – $100,000.

But is it really an oval?? When I squint at the diamond in the photo, I see corners. I personally think it’s an emerald cut or elongated cushion or even a radiant cut. Who What Wear agrees with me, referring to the stone simply as “rectangular,” while People calls it an emerald cut.

Please scroll to the second photo in the embedded Instagram post for a closer look at the ring. I need you to help me figure out what shape it is!

The trends: An elongated diamond (especially if it’s an oval diamond) on a simple gold band has been the reigning engagement ring trend for the past few years, wildly popular with both celebrities and consumers alike.

What do we think? There’s nothing to be mad at here: this ring is lovely and the stone is impressive, whatever shape it is. I would have liked to see something a little bit more outside the box, given V Hudge’s frequently wacky personal style…but this ring is objectively gorgeous and it will go with everything, forever.

Judgement: 13/10 for a simple and classic beauty

Ready to Relocate? Wilkerson Makes Your Move Seamless

When Brockhaus Jewelry decided to leave their longtime West Main Street storefront for a standalone building elsewhere in Norman, Oklahoma, owners John Brockhaus and Brad Shipman faced a familiar challenge: how to efficiently reduce inventory before the big move. Their solution? Partnering with liquidation specialists Wilkerson for a second time. "We'd already experienced Wilkerson's professionalism during a previous sale," Shipman recalls. "But their approach to our relocation event truly impressed us. They strategically prioritized our existing pieces while tactfully introducing complementary merchandise as inventory levels decreased." The carefully orchestrated sale didn't just meet targets—it shattered them. Asked if they'd endorse Wilkerson to industry colleagues planning similar transitions—whether relocating, retiring, or refreshing their space—both partners were emphatic in their approval. "The entire process was remarkably straightforward," Shipman notes. "Wilkerson delivered a well-structured program, paired us with a knowledgeable advisor, and managed every detail flawlessly from concept to completion."
